Scientific communication

Our students are an active part of the scientific community, e.g. by inviting guest speakers,
organizing meetings and colloquia, communicating their research in grant applications and
to the public. Advanced students are encouraged to conduct lectures and courses
themselves. Special events for “scientific communication” which are organized by the
students are lab tours, Hot topic seminars and our annual retreat.

You want to invite a guest speaker and you don't know on which occasion?

You may use the Berlin Life Science Colloquium . Please send your suggestion to the ZIBI Graduate School office ( Diese E-Mail-Adresse ist gegen Spambots geschützt! Sie müssen JavaScript aktivieren, damit Sie sie sehen können. )  and add a link to the respective website of the guest speaker and/or a short CV and a list of publication. A committee will decide about the invitation.

You may also invite a guest speaker to one of the institutes' seminars. In that case, please get in contact with your coordinator, first.

A special event are the hot topic seminars. If you and some other students of the ZIBI graduate school identify a specific topic you are interested in, or if you have a common research topic and want to invite some researchers who could support you and  your research project, you are welcome to organize a "hot topic seminar". Your coordinators will support you.
